It was a balmy 59 degrees this evening when I did this plein air watercolor of the Blue Moon. I even heard a few peepers!! They better hunker down as the temps are to plummet come Saturday.
Just a few clouds around the moon and a partial ring of yellow and red.
The eve’s celebrations were starting. I heard the sound of far off fireworks at 7:30 pm!
Happy New Year one and all!
Thanks Dave! I always enjoy when you pop in, too! I caught a glimpse of your latest on my favorites – need to get a closer look 🙂
Simply beautiful brushwork – thanks for all of your positive comments on my blog, they always give me a lift!
Thanks for stopping by and for your complements, Ramona! Things have been crazy lately and not much journaling is getting done. I am looking forward to the next full moon though 🙂
This is a gorgeous picture. I love moon and cloud landscapes. Love the colors and composition. Great art!
Beautiful Pam!

I love the watercolor of the moon with the palm trees. It snowed an inch on New Year's eve here in Virginia.
Thanks for stopping by and your kind hearted comments, Gabrielle, Carol and Shannon. Shannon, I'm blushing 🙂
Pam,
Everytime I hit your blog, I'm astounded at how beautiful your sketchings are.
Thanks for sharing your talent!
Blue Moon was in/out of Cloud cover. Light snow and enough packing on the ground to make a fat jolly Snowman with his Dog by his side. A great night hike to top it off. Peepers are a long long way off! Glad to hear they are coming though!
Happy New Year! Unfortunately it was raining/snowing here for New Year's Eve, so we couldn't see the blue moon. I'm glad you got to enjoy it so that we'd have your beautiful journal entry of it.
Thanks so, Lisa & Rhonda!
Beautiful Pam. All the best in 2010.
I love the way you've done the moon, peeking in and out of the clouds. Beautiful! Happy Blue Moon New Year 🙂
