My friend cut off this amazing banana tree flower/fruit/heart for me to sketch. It’s another of nature’s architectural wonders.
The bananas are not edible from this particular plant and they are only about 3″ long. I put this wonder on top of my dryer in the laundry room until I had time to sketch it. There was a peculiar oder for a few days the cut stem leaked a bit of sticky liquid.
I used a micron pen and wc pencils in my small Moleskine.
