Recap: A lovely day for sketching in the woods…
Overview:
In this Lowcountry Field Trip we’ll explore the environment that surrounds the New River Linear Trail. Our studies will include observing plant life, ecology and vista.
Our Nature Journaling walk will focus on the southern end of the trail that ends at the New River. We will saunter, discover, sit and sketch, continuing this process as we head toward the river. There are no restroom facilities. However, we are close enough to the Publix on Rt 170 that we can take a break half way through and make a quick trip. Also there is not a lot of shade once on the rail bed trail. Do bring a hat and wear sunscreen.

Skill Level:
I welcome all levels of experience. Nature Journaling is food for the soul and quite different from studio painting. If you are familiar with plein air painting, this experience will widen your understanding of the landscape you love to paint. Newbies, don’t be shy. You will create journal pages that show your love for Nature – all you need is the desire to do so.
