I love my iPad… it’s convenient and the apps that are available are incredible.
Last week I downloaded iPhoto for iPad. This week, I was able to play with the possibilities 🙂
I have lots of canvas and a set of water soluble oil paints waiting for me to dig in. It will be fun to see how the oil paint effect translates images I want to paint. Plus, it’s a great jumping off point for the look and feel I’d like to achieve. I love what the effect did for my Midday Sun sketch!
Yes, that's the plan 🙂 I've almost got the general page design down. This calendar will feature my moon paintings. But since they are in a vertical format, I thought it would be nice to have a horizontal border design to drop the images in to. I'll keep you posted 🙂
Thanks, Lisa! This is a great tool to use and lots of fun to be had 🙂

I love your original sketch Pam. The way you captured the light on the house is just beautiful! It's so interesting to see how you used your iPad app with your art. Sometimes people overdo computer techniques, but your sketch still looks like original art. Really nice!
p.s. I've been so out of blogging I just noticed you have a 2012 calendar. Are you going to do one for 2013? It looks beautiful!

You might also enjoy 'Value Viewer', it will convert any photo on you iPad to a value sketch in black and white, it also provides drawing grids, to help you sketch the photo, as well as different cropping options for standard size frames or paper size. I LOVE it and us it a lot for Plein Aire work.
You handled the app very well. I haven't gotten into that yet – maybe some other day! ha ha
