The change from winter to spring in the lowcountry begins in February almost with Imbolc and Ground Hog Day.  This year our late January snow and unusually cold temps delayed the arrival of pine pollen, trillium flowers, new shoots of coralbean plants, swamp maple buds and yellow jessamine by a couple of weeks.   Sometimes when making my weekly observations, I've time to make a quick rendering.  Other weeks, the written word has to hold it's own.

Do you keep a perpetual journal?  I'd love to hear about your experiences.
